Your privacy is fundamental to us. This policy outlines our practices for the Surf's Up application ("App").

1. Data collection and usage

We are committed to data minimisation. We only access data essential for the App's core functionality.

• Location data (coarse): The App requests access to your device's location. This information is used exclusively to fetch relevant surf reports, weather conditions and tide information for your current area. This data is sent to our weather data provider to get the forecast but is not stored, logged or retained on our servers in any way. We do not track your location history.
• No personal data: We do not collect, store or have access to any personal identifiers such as your name, email or device ID. The app functions anonymously.

2. Data storage

We do not store any of your personal data on our servers. All settings and preferences are stored locally on your device and are fully under your control.

3. Data sharing

We do not share your location data or any other information with third parties, other than the necessary, anonymised request sent to our weather data provider to fulfil the surf report feature of the App. We do not sell or rent your data.

4. Your consent

By using the Surf's Up App, you consent to this privacy policy. You will be asked for permission before the App accesses your location data, and you can revoke this permission at any time through your device's settings.

The surf report and weather data provided in the App are for informational purposes only. We take no responsibility for the accuracy of the data or for any decisions made based on this information. Always use caution and your best judgment when entering the water.
